The lab testing instruments that you use in your factory will determine the rate of success that you have. Often we keep track of the number of hours the laborer is working or how they are working but tend to overlook if the machine that they are using is the latest in the market or not or if are there better machines available that will help to bring out results faster and smoother. If you want your products to stand out and also deliver high-quality products quickly then you must invest in the best possible updated version of the machine you are using.
However, if you’re on a tight budget, you might be tempted to buy the cheapest device you can find. However, it’s not a wise decision in the long run as modern devices are best suited for labs. There are several high-quality testing manufacturers in India that sell the latest and greatest lab products at affordable prices.
What is the purpose of burst testing?
The burst test indicates the package’s ability to withstand internal pressure and the maximum internal pressure required to cause the package to fail to seal. It also provides information on packaging reliability against material or seals failure during manufacturing, distribution, and storage.
Why burst a bottle?
Many factors influence bottle bursting. It is mostly done for understanding the pre-existing damage to the glass bottle, bottle dimensions out of acceptable range, heavy wear on the bottle, or improper adjustment work on the machine. Occasionally, a damaged (deformed) hanger stop causes some problems (missing hanger stop) during various mechanical processes in the machine. The testing is conducted by using a bottle burst tester.
PET containers are manufactured to transport soft drinks and other pressurized beverages that support heavy weight. If not made with good quality materials and proper methods, the material may burst under the pressure of internal forces. A bottle breakage tester measures the transparent internal quality of a container by applying a pre-set gravimetric measurement to the sample. Provides true behaviour of PET containers as the internal weight expands.
The PET bottle bursting tester is equipped with a weight that accurately records the connected weight between the test and the weight. This is an incentive for parts to ignore Support and Blast. It has a digital clock that controls the sample timing. The test equipment specifies a general size of the test gripping method that ensures that the sample does not slip and that there are no weight accidents between tests.
The equipment namely PET Bottle Pressure Tester conforms to ASTM C147-86 (2015) standard. This is believed to be the precise test standard used to validate the type of PET container designed to carry printed snacks. With a computer-aided presentation, the machine delivers the highest quality. This eliminates the possibility of error, as pneumatic weight control is considered an important weight control method.
By connecting the vessel to a rotatable gauge arm, sample clamping is enhanced. Automatic scales are available. Between tests, record the weight at which the bottle stops resisting and explodes. The testing period is good for a few bottles and has quotes that buzz at the end of the test.
The Bottle Burst Tester helps test cans, packs, and CSD line bottles filled with carbonated liquids in pressurized lines. A sample is placed in the orifice and pressurized in the form of air at a controlled pressure.
The wall thickness and design of the bottle are important parameters, and the effectiveness of the bottle design is tested. This test determines the amount of cylinder expansion and burst pressure. The device provides a maximum time limit of up to 999 seconds. It has easy access to the built-in self-calibration feature. The clamp and lever arm clamps the sample evenly, and the test is performed with a strong clamping mechanism that prevents displacement. It has a separate inlet pressure gauge of 290 psi, suitable for different sizes of PET bottles. The maximum bottleneck diameter is 21mm and the minimum bottleneck diameter is 23mm.
Thus you can see why a bottle burst tester is important and why you must first do the test with the help of the tester before developing the final product.
