Today, electric bicycles are gaining more and more popularity. Over the past two years, the market has successfully replenished with many dozens of samples and concepts. However, what should a person who already has a bike and wants to keep it the same or is not possible do? The solution to making an electric bike out of an ordinary bike has been found.
A group of enthusiastic engineers devised a solution allowing you to turn the most ordinary bike into an electric one at no extra cost. It is enough to integrate a traction and clutch module into its design, allowing automatic movements.
To date, there are several such projects, and one of them is the biz. A group of Swiss enthusiasts initiated biz startup. The project’s main feature was that the engineers achieved a significant weight reduction for the thrust module. Its mass is almost two and a half times less than that of analogs. The device weighs 1.97 kg and is on the pedal mechanism opposite the large sprocket.
The 250-watt electric motor is powered by a lithium-polymer battery mounted on the bicycle frame. The battery is charged both from kinetic energy when the bike is moving and from the network. Of course, in the latter case, it should be removed. According to the manufacturer, it will take up to 3 hours to fully charge the battery.
The engine allows you to reach speeds of up to 25 km / h. It should also be noted that there are some other “goodies” in the biz development module. For example, the system has a bike tracker built into it, allowing you to keep a “bike diary.” Track the speed of movement, the frequency of revolutions, and, if desired, even the breathing and heartbeat of the cyclist. A smartphone controls all this splendor. You can control the electric motor while driving using the remote control mounted on the steering wheel.
