After graduating from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with honors and a major in economics and a minor in chemistry, he went on to attend medical school at Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine. There he obtained his medical degree as well as a certificate in urology and completed his pediatric urology fellowship at the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh.
